Abril Ruiz is a bilingual (Spanish/English) doula based in the Bronx and a descendant of native Mexican people of the Americas. She provides compassionate, individualized support throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, including education, comfort measures, advocacy, breastfeeding/chestfeeding support, and birth planning.

Abril honors each family’s culture, values, and wishes while helping them feel informed and supported. She welcomes families of all backgrounds and structures, including LGBTQ+, multicultural, bilingual, faith-based, solo-parent, and disabled families. Her goal is to be a trusted ally and companion as families welcome their babies in a way that feels true to them.
